 ½ cup packed brown sugar
 ½ cup ketchup
 1 ½ pounds ground beef
 ¾ teaspoon milk
 2 large eggs
 1 ½ teaspoon salt
 ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
 ½ cup chopped yellow onion
 ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
 ¾ cup finely crushed saltine cracker crumbs

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 5x9-inch loaf pan.

Press that brown sugar firmly into the bottom of the greased loaf pan, making an even layer.
