Description

These savory seasoned pecans are buttery, spiced, and wildly addictive—perfect for holiday parties, cheese boards, or snacking straight from the jar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (1 pound) pecan halves
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce (Tabasco or your favorite)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F.
  2. Place the pecans in a large mixing bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Worcestershire, salt, garlic powder, ground mustard, hot sauce, and cayenne.
  4. Pour the mixture over the pecans and stir until well coated. Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
  5. Spread the pecans in a single layer on a large sheet pan.
  6. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes, stirring halfway, until toasted and lightly browned.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool completely, tossing occasionally.
  8. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

Adjust the spice level to your liking by modifying the cayenne and hot sauce. These also make excellent edible gifts in jars tied with ribbon.
