- 4 cups (1 pound) pecan halves
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/4 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce (Tabasco or your favorite)
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F.
- Place the pecans in a large mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Worcestershire, salt, garlic powder, ground mustard, hot sauce, and cayenne.
- Pour the mixture over the pecans and stir until well coated. Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
- Spread the pecans in a single layer on a large sheet pan.
- Bake for 20 to 22 minutes, stirring halfway, until toasted and lightly browned.
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely, tossing occasionally.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
Adjust the spice level to your liking by modifying the cayenne and hot sauce. These also make excellent edible gifts in jars tied with ribbon.
