They’re the kind of dish that disappears fast—just the thing for busy moms, hungry teens, or anyone who loves a Tex-Mex twist.

Ready in under 30 minutes, these homemade chicken taquitos are stuffed with a luscious blend of shredded chicken, cream cheese, green chiles, and melty Monterey Jack. Ingredients for Cream Cheese Chicken Taquitos

 3 cups cooked shredded chicken
 6 oz cream cheese, softened
 ⅓ cup sour cream
1 can mild green chiles, drained

 Salt, to taste
5 ½ cups Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
 12 corn tortillas
Vegetable or canola oil, for frying

How to Make Cream Cheese Chicken Taquitos

1

Heat the Oil:
Pour about ½ inch of oil into a deep skillet and heat over medium until shimmering.

Notes

Fry Like a Pro: For the crispiest taquitos, don’t overcrowd your pan. Cook in batches and keep your oil hot (but not smoking).

Freezer Friendly: You can freeze uncooked, rolled taquitos. Just pop them in the hot oil straight from the freezer for a last-minute meal that feels homemade.
