Hi, I'm Betsy G. Whitten, and I'm so glad you're here.
Like many of you, I balance work, family, and the unexpected moments that fill our days. I know how challenging it can feel to cook at home when time is short and energy is even shorter. That is why I created Potluck Eats. I wanted a place where real home cooks could find dependable, approachable recipes that fit into busy lives.
Potluck Eats is owned and operated by Betsy G. Whitten, managing member of Omni-Content LLC, a U.S.-registered Limited Liability Company

Why You Can Trust Potluck Eats
I grew up in a home where cooking was part of every celebration. Some of my earliest memories include standing on a stool beside my mom as she taught me how to make chocolate chip cookies from scratch. Holiday mornings always meant the smell of cinnamon rolls filling the kitchen, and summer weekends were all about grilling with my dad in the backyard. Those moments shaped how I cook today, and they inspire the recipes I create for this blog.
While I am not a professionally trained chef, everything I know comes from years of hands-on experience, constant testing, and a true love for sharing meals with the people I care about. Every recipe here is made, tested, retested, and cooked again in my own kitchen until it's something I feel confident serving to family and friends.
The Busy Family Standard
If a recipe cannot be made successfully after a long day, it doesn't make it onto the site. I focus on dishes that are flavorful, reliable, and simple enough for any home cook to prepare. Clear instructions and everyday ingredients are always at the center of what I create.
A Bit More About Me
When I'm not cooking or working on new recipes, you'll usually find me with a hot cup of coffee, planning family gatherings, or experimenting with new flavor ideas. Hosting has always been a big part of my life, and I love helping others feel that same joy of bringing people together around the table.
